CALCULATING MOLECULAR WEIGHTS OF PEPTIDES
The following table lists amino acids by molecular weight but where one hydroxyl group (17.0) from the carboxyl end and one hydrogen (1.01) from the amine end has been removed from the known molecular weight. This allows one to quickly add up the amino acid weights listed in the table plus any auxilary groups to determine the calculated molecular weight.
